Little Girls Ponder Beauty Unspeakable
By Nancee Cline
The child Saint Teresa of Avila, twirled to the word forever, around, around, around. For me, it was infinity, a word that revealed itself at the funeral of a great-grandmother. My mother took me outside—a sobbing little girl. She mistakenly believed I was crying for the dead.
Nancee Cline is a lifetime lover of the written word. She holds a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities, as well as two certificates in Theological Education. She has tutored and taught every age group from Montessori pre-school through community college adults. After retirement she gave up writing essays and book reviews to write poetry, which she realized with surprise, was better than religion.
